Hey everyone! Today I have a review of the Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in Rebel Rose. I know I know, yet another liquid lipstick to talk about but I'll admit that I've really been into liquid lipsticks lately especially as the weather is starting to warm up. This isn't Wet n Wild's first foray into liquid lipstick, they had another formula years ago called the MegaLast Liquid Lip Color (which I absolutely hated) but after hearing some good reviews I thought I'd try one of the colors out.
Rebel Rose is a gorgeous midtown semi-rosy pink. It's not too light that it washes me out but isn't too dark that I wouldn't be able to wear it to work. The Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick retails for $4.99 for .21 oz. It's available from Wet n Wild (so awesome that they're selling online now!), Target, Walgreens, and other drugstores that carry Wet n Wild.
I particularly like the doefoot applicator; I find that it picks up the right amount of product and spreads it really evenly on my lips. If you like the liquid lipstick packaging from Jeffree Star, Dose of Colors, Sugarpill, etc, it's the same type.
I'll get straight to the point about the lipstick; the formula for this shade is AWESOME. I wore it for ten hours, no touch ups and it lasted through two meals. There was some wearing away along the inner edge of my lip but 90% of color was still there at the end of the day. The formula is more liquidy than creamy and glides on evenly without cracking. It's wonderfully pigmented also. As with any liquid lipstick, it's a little drying but a surprisingly good liquid lipstick formula. It also happens to be very affordable.
I took the swatch photos in indirect natural daylight with no flash. I think the color is super perfect for Spring/Summer.
While I really liked Rebel Rose, it looks like the formula isn't consistent across shades; Brooke from BlushingNoir has a good breakdown of how each shade performs in her review. I can only speak for my review of Rebel Rose and I say it's totally worth getting.
Thanks for reading! Have you tried any of Wet n Wild's Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipsticks?
