Love Parcel From Anna!

I was in a not so cheery mood when I came home yesterday because of traffic and a bout of hunger but it was such a nice surprise to come home and see Anna's package from Germany! (If you haven't checked out her blog yet, here's the link) This is only 1/2 of it so I'm super excited to see what the other half has!

I've heard some good things about P2 so I'm glad she put something from them in it. Although it doesn't look too clear, the eyeshadow really reminds me of Too Faced Baked Eyeshadows. Both are planetary themed plus the packaging looks very similar. The P2 eyeshadow doesn't match any of Too Faced eyeshadows but I do wonder if they're made by the same manufacturer!

I got some bomb-diggity lip glosses, a scrub and a Maybelline eyeshadow.
Mmm Kinder chocolate. Sorry America you've never had chocolate until you've had European chocolate. There are some Kinder chocolates I can get in America but never the Kinder eggs. The Schoko-Bons are my sister's favorite so she promptly grabbed a bunch.
Thank you so much Anna! I hope my package to you gets to you soon :D

I should have my KKCenterHK eyelashes review up either today or tomorrow!

Ode to Violet LeBeaux

If you don't know of Violet by now, you're really really missing out. She's one of the hardest working and creative bloggers that I know considering that she literally posts a unique crafting or fashion tutorial nearly everyday and it's really astonishing. I've been a reader for quite some time and it's just amazing to see her dedication to creating good posts!

Anyways I had won one of her contests for a $100 voucher for this Lolita store but there was a weird mix up and so in the end she said she'd be offering me $100 of her own money towards something to make up for the mix up. Well I said I had always wanted to try some Inglot and so she got me that and I said to keep the rest a mystery :)

I got a huge plethora of things from her, some Prestige which we do have in the US but I loooved the Beauty Style products that she included. Beauty Style is a brand that we don't have in the US so it was rather nice to try some of them.

I'm still testing out everything and I'll see about doing a swatch post but I just wanted to thank Violet for going above and beyond to make everything right!

I will say though that Australians are totally gypped when it comes to Inglot prices. I looked at the pamphlet included which listed prices for the Freedom System which is a palette that you can get and fill with eyeshadows, brow stuff etc. Why is it that Australians pay 85 Australian dollars for a 10 pan palette that I would pay $5o for? The Australian and US dollars are just about equal in terms of currency exchange so why the huge price jump? I'm rather appalled by this, it's so ridiculous!

Do you have to pay premium prices for cosmetics that are super cheap elsewhere?

Day 30: A Generous Gift from Generous People!

So I had a post I was going to do for today but I decided to scrap it because of something amazing I got in the mail. I'm rather glad to be ending my month's worth of blogging on this note.

A lot of you guys may have come from Syl and Sam's blog post from when I sent them a care package of Konad nail art plates. They replied back saying they were sending me something and after that I promptly forgot about it.

Until today.

I got the envelope from them and when I opened it I squealed "HOW DID THEY KNOW"

and then I read the card, haha. They are extremely generous and so so nice it's kind of amazing.

So this is what I got :') This is a necklace from their clothing company Lipgloss and Black and it was recycled from their clothing scraps. I'm not very eco-friendly so it's rather nice to get a small start by having this.

I also received some skincare samples and a sticker from a poutine restaurant in Toronto! I rather wish we had poutine in California so this is as close as I can get!

If you're interested in buying this, here's the link to it! If necklaces aren't your style, they even make a headband version!

Here is a much better photo of it! The ribbon is fairly long and so you can wear it really high like I did (almost like a collar) or you can wear it fairly low.
I honestly wish I got this before because they were having a sale but just wait, I'm sure they'll be having one sooner or later!

Disclaimer: Yeah yeah this was a gift but no they're not paying me to say anything. Hell if I had the money I'd be buying all of their inventory!

Big Lots Haulage and Thanks to my new followers :)

I'm so so grateful for A Polish Problem and Positively Polish for recently featuring on the new blog roundups/alerts :) It's really nice being able to have an audience for my odd ramblings. I highly highly recommend you guys check out all the blogs that were featured!

I wanted to post about something I got at Big Lots

Hells yeah for Count Chocula. During Count Chocula season I ate so many bowls of Count Chocula the roof of my mouth went a bit raw :X

The best part about me getting Count Chocula?

By the way, it's technically still edible, for the date says Best By August 24th 2010 which means it doesn't expire then but that it is best to eat by that time. I can't wait for Count Chocula season, I've missed chocolate-y cereals. Does anyone else remember Nesquik or Oreo-Os? My favorite cereals always get discontinued :(
