Day 7: Fiery Gold EOTD

*Blogger is going a bit wonky. It kept posting my pictures sideways and I saw it reposted about my giveaway even though I did that 3 days ago? I don't even know*

So I was reading on theNotice that it's National Blog Posting Month which encourages you to write a blog post every day. I knew it was National Novel Writing Month (shortened to NaNoWriMo which is fun to say) but not NaBloPoMo so this is going to be my attempt to post every day!

Also, I've been talking about Rock and Republic blushes for a while and it turns out that they're on sale on Hautelook tomorrow. I'm trying to do as many orange-y looks as possible, it's my new favorite color for eyeshadow.

Salsa Night + Wet n Wild eyeshadows=?

So yesterday I went to a Salsa Night event at my school and so I thought it'd be a nice time for me to do a road test of the Wet n Wild eyeshadows in terms of longevity.

*Also, I got a complement from my guy friend about how nice my eyeshadow was so that's a plus*

So one of my eyes has gone through 3 hours of line dancing and salsa dancing and with the other eye I took off the old makeup and redid it.
Which is which eh?
The left (my right eye) is the one that survived after being in a room with 300 people doing the Electric Slide, Pattycake Polka and the Golden Reel while the right (my left eye) had the makeup redone.

Color me impressed because damn that's awesome. The Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy and NYX's eyeshadow base helped but you can't get great results like this without quality eyeshadows.

Giveaway for the Wet n Wild holiday palettes CLOSED

It seems like the availability of the Wet n Wild Holiday palettes is sparse at best, especially since a lot of you guys don't have a Walgreens nearby.

Originally I was going to offer to do CP's for people but instead I decided to do small giveaway for you guys, especially since I have so many Walgreens around me.

So I'll be giving away 4 of the different palettes, one kind to each person! The four kits are Golden Goddess, Snow Sprite, Sugar Plum Fairy and Night Elf!

This is my Golden Goddess and I love it. The eyeshadows are of amazing quality; they're not extremely powdery, kind of soft instead and pigmented like no other! The eyeliner does have some glitter in it so I wouldn't use it on the waterline.

Wet n Wild 50% off :D

Woot woot Walgreens had Wet n Wild Cosmetics for 50% and there have been so many reviews lately about how awesome they are plus the Holiday set recently came out.

I think you can guess what happened next.

Mara posted about the wee ColorIcon eyeshadows here although my Walgreens was out of Penny :( I will say though, the clasp on the ColorIcon individual eyeshadow was harder (in my opinion) to open than the ColorIcon set.

And A Brilliant Brunette posted about the Idol Eyes Creme Shadow Pencils here and of course MakeupAlley had swatches of the ColorIcon Holiday palette.

I know someone on my followers list had awesome swatches of the Mega Last lipsticks but I can't remember who did :( I'll link to it here if I can find it!

The lesson of the day is to stay off of the internet lest you find yourself in Walgreens eying down the Holiday Palettes.

PSA! When I got the Coloricon set I did not get it for 50% off but everything else was 50% off.

In addition, if you're lucky the Megalast lipstick will have a 1 dollar coupon like mine had which made it even better.
