Sugarpill Cosmetics Review/EOTD

Sugarpill may or may not have a tag because I may or may not buy tons more :X

So I've been anticipating Shrinkle's Sugarpill line for quite some time. I don't remember when I first found Shrinkle but I've been following her blog for a long time so it was exciting to hear about her makeup line.

The instant it went live, I bought Midori eyeshadow, mostly because I didn't want to buy any loose shadows quite yet and Midori really caught my eye.

Awkward picture is awkward. I was having the worst trouble trying to get it to show up correctly, and I think this is the closest.

Packaging- 5/5
First off, I love the box that it comes in. It has a heart cutout in it so we get a glimpse of the eyeshadow through it. I like the effort made into the brand logo and the brand itself.
As for the eyeshadow, it's held in a black plastic container with a clear plastic lid.

Quality- 4/5
I honestly really like this shadow, it is quite pigmented and very bright. I think others who aren't into brights won't be so fond but for what it is, it's quite fabulous. I did have a bit of fallout with it applied dry but that's not a problem when applied wet/over a base

Cost-5/5
It is 12 dollars for 4 grams of product. For comparison's sake:

MAC- 14.50 for 1.5 grams = 9.67 dollars a gram
MakeUpForEver- 19 for ~2.28 grams= 8.33 dollars a gram
Urban Decay-17 for 1.5 grams 11.33 dollars a gram
Sugarpill- 12 for 4 grams= 3 dollars a gram

I say for the quality, it's definitely well worth it, especially over some Urban Decay shades *cough Midnight Cowboy* which are extremely glittery to the extent that it looks like it rained glitter on my face.

Overall, I do recommend it considering the cost and quality, and it's always nice to see a well thought out brand.

I also did a quick EOTD with it.

In real life, it's much more vibrant and less blue toned, much closer to the eyeshadow pot picture.

Base-Urban Decay Primer Potion
Eyeshadow base- Stila Kitten Gel Liner
Eyeshadow- Blonde's Gold pigment on the lid, Midori in the crease and on the lower lid wet, and patted dry over. Provence pigment dry as a highlight
Mascara-Maybelline Full n Soft Waterproof
