Pür Minerals Double Ego Eyeliner: Swatch, Review, and Photos

Hi everyone! Today's post is a swatch and review of the Pür Minerals Double Ego Eyeliner, another one of the dual-ended products in their makeup line. This is accompanying their dual-ended Wake Up Brow (eyebrow pencil) and Pout Pen (lip stain and balm). The Double Ego Eyeliner comes with a twist-up pencil on one side and a felt tip liquid liner on the other side. You can easily tag team both sides into one look or use one or the other depending on how bold you want to look.

I received two shades in Queensland and Tasmania to try out. Queensland is a bright teal shade while Tasmania is a deep chocolate brown.

Formula:

"Pür’s 2-in-1 dualended eyeliner combines two of our most popular formulas into one multitasking must-have tool. Use the mineral pencil tip for smudge-proof everyday definition or to create a sultry smoky eye. Flip to the liquid liner for bold intensity or detailed definition that glides on with ease—perfect for getting a quick classic cat eye!"

Both liquid liner sides applied evenly and the shades are moderately pigmented. The pencil liner sides also apply easily without any dragging or tugging. I did think that the pencil side of Tasmania was more pigmented in one pass than Queensland.

The wear time for the liquid liner is great, lasting an 8 hour day with no issue on my oily lids. I do find it waterproof too! The wear time for the pencil liner is more variable; it lasted a whole day with primer but it had faded after a few hours without primer. However, I did notice some staining from the liquid liner but I just had to use a little more makeup remover to get rid of the stain.

Swatches:

Queensland and Tasmania are swatched below. Left is the liquid liner swatch and right is the pencil liner swatch. The liquid liner side of Queensland is more green than the pencil side while the pencil side of Tasmania is a bit more purple-tinged than the liquid side.

Conclusion:

If you're a fan of multi-tasking products, you may like this product. I have no trouble getting the liquid liner to last but the pencil liner does need the help of a primer if you have oily lids. Be warned, the liquid liner can stain your lids. I like using the liquid liner on my top lid and the pencil liner on the lower lash line.
