Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Swatches

First off, props to Revlon for having an awesome twitter campaign. I got these lipsticks as a prize in their Fire and Ice giveaway. I have to say I like the packaging. They included the retro logo on the packaging which was a very nice touch, plus the top of the lipstick cap is transparent so it's easy to get a look at the color.

Clockwise from top right; Temptress, Fire and Ice, Demure, and Siren.

From left to right; Fire and Ice, Siren, Temptress, and Demure. Fire and Ice is a truer red, not fuchsia as it is looking now.

I did a bunch of lip swatches too.

Bare lips. The makeup is from the FOTD three days ago.
Fire and Ice. I loooove this, sorry for the light change but I felt that this was the most color accurate. It is a gorgeous red and not at all fuchsia like it was in the hand swatch.
This is Demure, which I think is perfect for the lazy days of makeup
Temptress which is a rosy pink that's a step up from Demure
And last is Siren which I really really don't like. The color is traffic cone orange on me and the formula is too dry for my liking.

Disclosure: I got these products for free as part of Revlon's Fire and Ice twitter giveaway. My opinions are my own and I only wish I was getting paid for this.

  2. I think my favorite is the Fire & Ice lipstick. It's kinda a vintage-y red. I like I like. I'm starting to like your blog more and more with all these FOTD's now. :)

  3. Haha oh my gosh! I just scrolled down and I love how you saved Siren for last because it literally throws you off guard! Hmm too bad it's a bit unwearable..could you blend it with some other color perhaps? Maybe make it a coral even?

  4. It's so unfair, they once help a Twitter competition and I was one of the winners and my prize never arrived :< I didn't like Revlon before and since that case I don't like it better at all! The orange looks so cool on you, actually all the colours do.

  5. @Emily It's all in the effort, I enter for tons of giveaways and the world of statistics deems I must win some once in a while! I've been having a really good winning streak so I know I'm not going to win any for a while

@Mara haha I'm being a brave girl with trying to post more FOTDs, I'm starting to realize that my skin isn't as big of a deterrent to posting full face pictures as I used to imagine it being

@Suki Haha seriously I imagine that many girls can pull it off...I'm just not sure I'm one of them

@Anna Crystal They really gyp the international fans which is ridiculous, it shouldn't be so US-centric. My opinion on Revlon is still pretty okay I mean I'm not necessarily inclined to try out all of their products now. I might repurchase Fire and Ice and the coordinating nail polish

  6. Im loving how the Demure and Temptress are looking on you..I have yet to try Revlon lippies again, maybe because they were my very first lippies from like junior high and I hated the formula. I wonder if i give it a try again if i would like it...maybe ill pick up demure. Thanks for sharing!

  7. Oh man, I really want more Revlon lipsticks now. I won a lipstick in Mink since I was one of their first 500 followers and I really enjoy the texture and payoff. I'm not really picky since I know lipsticks far and wide will all have their own pros and cons but if its affordable, I'm game. Thanks for sharing, I have my eye on Fire and Ice and Siren now. :D

  10. @Sushi Demure is especially pretty and the texture is really smooth and not as finicky as Siren!

@Cosmetic Viking Definitely pick up some during the CVS sale because I noticed that they had a lot for 75% off! Fire and Ice is so perfect and I'm glad it is a part of the permanent range

@Bhumika They really are, I'm recommending them to everyone!

@Raeven Marie Haha I just have to find the time to put on false eyelashes with school coming up

  11. I have fire & ice and really want to get siren (although I have a couple of orange lipsticks already).

  12. @Funnyface Beauty I'd honestly skip it if you already other orange lipsticks, it wouldn't be worth it because of how finicky the texture is

  14. Actually they all look good on you, that orange probably would just take some getting used to and using the right eye shadows and blush to compliment it. But if you really don't want to get used to it at all, I agree with Suki, use it to warm up some other lipsticks or gloss you have. You just use a bit on a lip brush and mix it together with what you are wearing. I had a lippie that gave me corpse lips it was sooooo beige, and I'd add a bit of red or fuchsia to bring my lips back to life. lol I'd like to have that orange and a beige or mauve to create a nice peachy shade of lippie.
