New Brushes and Palettes Set Up

I went to Office Depot yesterday and got something to organize my palettes in addition to my brushes. I saw in EmilyNoel83's youtube organization video that she used a large desktop sorter to organize her palettes which gave me the idea to find one. My palettes mainly consist of the Wet n Wild palettes and some miscellaneous ones so I searched for a smaller letter sorter instead. For $5.99 I got a small damask-style metal letter sorter.

I wasn't actually planning on it, but I found a small cup on sale and decided to switch back to storing my eye brushes in it. As much as I liked the brush organizer it just took up too much space on the little cart next to my desk. I got the cup on sale for $1.41

Here's a little close up so you can get an idea of how I sorted everything. Wet n Wild in the front, Stila, Inglot and Sugarpill in the middle and Sleek, MAC, and Urban Decay in the back.

I just want to say thank you to the people who took the time to read my last post. Writing something so negative is not something that I found enjoyable or anything like that. You may not have agreed with me or anything like that but that's okay. Thank you to those who have been supportive of me.

  2. I love how this arranged, makes me want to buy palettes, lol.  I hope my Home Depot has that cute style, I would love to have it sitting on my desk to help me get organized, makeup or papers-wise!

  3. As much as I love loose shadows, pressed eyeshadows are infinitely so much cleaner. The boyfriend actually picked out the color, I was stuck between white and black and he said "the white looks gaudy" which was good enough for me!

  4. I really like the balck - white would somehow get dirty, even on my desk!  I'm going to try pressing my loose shadows, and making my own palettes, eeep! I'm going to buy the stuff to make the palettes on friday, then hopefully be ready to press early next week.  I *heard* you don't need the binding stuff from TKB, so I'm going to try that with a few shadows that i can live without.  Wow, I probably shouldn't drink coffee so late, I tend to babble on, eh?

  5. I used to press my MAC pigments into shadows all the time with rubbing alcohol, but I don't know if any of my indie shades have the right binders in it for that to work. I'm rather tempted to try with my Sugarpill Goldilux

I think I also need to have my palettes up on top because I always miss them when I'm getting ready!

  9. Thank you! I had my palettes all stacked up last time from smallest to largest but I could never find the one I wanted so this set up makes it so everything is nice and out in the open

  10. My problem is with loose shadows, I always tend to forget about the ones I have because they're stored in a drawer system next to me but high enough that I have to stand to get to them (and I certainly can't be bothered to stand)

This looks great! Now I want to go buy some Wet N' Wild palettes, haha. I don't have enough palettes for storage to be an issue but my loose pigments - ergh. I need to find someway to store them that makes me want to use them. They are currently collecting dust in my closet. xD

  14. I've given up hope on storing my loose pigments in any sort of organized way. I wish there was a way to have them lean against each other but the 5 gram jars never work out like that
